LONGER LUNCH HOUR IS CRY OF JUNIOR STUDENT
Unless the chain of events changes rather abruptly within the next few days, J-Hi students need not be surprised if someone starts a plea for a longer noon hour. From all indications, there are at least one or two students who would gladly sign on the dotted line if such a petition were formed.
Without a doubt, one person in particular, Arnold Swanson, would “jump at a chance” to lead a movement for a “bigger and better” lunch hour. It has been said that actions speak louder than words; if such be the case, poor Mr. Swanson certainly does not find enough time to sufficiently satisfy his enormous appetite. Seeing the unfortunate lad calmly, yet eagerly, eating jelly beans during the English class, is, to be sure, a very unusual sight.
Perhaps he is to be pitied rather than punished.
Probably the best suggestion one could make to Mr. Swanson would be that he bring his lunch to school. If, by any chance, he alone is unable to carry the provisions necessary for the noon-day meal, there is surely someone who would willingly aid him in the transportation of supplies.
